Modus Kejahatan yang Menggunakan Teknik Social Engineering

 

Berawal dari kejadian nyata yang dialami rekan kantor saya yang menjadi korban teknik social engineering (teknik rekayasa sosial) oleh orang-orang tak bertanggung jawab. Dia bercerita bahwa ketika dia bersama temannya tertipu oleh sebuah telp yang mengaku sebagai pihak kepolisian yang sedang menahan salah seorang teman dari kawan saya tersebut karena melakukan tindakan yang menyebabkan kecelakaan lalu lintas.

Mungkin jika pelakunya bukan dari kalangan penjahat kelas teri, modus seperti ini akan mudah diantisipasi dengan melakukan konfirmasi kepada pihak yang bersangkutan (yang katanya sedang ditahan oleh pihak keamanan), akan tetapi.. saya rasa mereka merupakan para pelaku 'socenk' profesional yang telah menyiapkan pula segala macam antisipasi untuk meminimalisir kecurigaan sang korban terhadap rekayasa sosial yang mereka lakukan.

Hasil analisa saya, mereka tahu betul siapa calon korbannya. Hal itu terbukti dari kenyataan bahwa sang pelaku mengenal nama-nama calon korban berikut nama teman-temannya. Pelaku juga tahu sang korban sedang berada di mana dan dalam kondisi seperti apa pada saat itu. Ketika sang korban hendak melakukan konfirmasi via telp kepada temannya, ternyata pada saat yang sama, kawanan dari sang pelaku juga secara terus menerus mengubungi nomor-nomor yang diperkirakan akan dihubungi oleh calon korban, sehingga seakan akan nomer tersebut menjadi sibuk dan tidak bisa dihubungi.

Pertanyaan saya, darimana mereka tahu bahwa teman sang korban -yang diinformasikan oleh pelaku- sedang tidak berada di tempat yang sama dengan korban? darimana pula mereka tahu nama-nama korban berikut teman-teman yang juga turut berada dalam lokasi pada saat itu? dan yang menjadi pertanyaan terakhir.. dari mana pelaku mengetahui nomor-nomor penting yang telah diperkirakan akan dihubungi oleh korban ketika mencoba melakukan konfirmasi?

Penyalahgunaan teknik Social Engineering untuk kejahatan memang tidak bisa dipandang remeh !

Singkat cerita dari kejadian yang dialami oleh teman saya tersebut, sang pelaku meminta tebusan dalam bentuk tranfer uang sebanyak Rp.900.000,- dan meminta sang korban untuk mengisikan pulsa beberapa nomor dari sang pelaku berikut kawanannya yang totalnya mencapai Rp. 600.000,-

"Gila !!!" itu respon yang pertama kali saya katakan kepada teman saya. Secara akal sehat, saya pun tidak habis pikir akan kelihaian pelaku dalam melakuan rekayasa sosial kepada korbannya. Hampir tanpa cela, mereka menyiapkan segala sesuatunya dengan matang. Mencari informasi sebanyak"nya mengenai calon korban, keluarga dan kawan" terdekatnya. Dengan sabar pula menanti situasi dan kondisi yang pas dimana teknik rekayasa sosial bisa dilakukan secara sempurna. Serta kecerdikan pelaku melakukan tekni 'controlling human brain' dengan membanjiri korbannya dengan informasi-informasi yang telah direkayasa sehingga korban tidak bisa berpikir secara jernih.

Kejadian yang sama pula hampir terjadi kepada keluarga boss saya. Modusnya hampir sama.. hanya saja ketika itu istri dan ajudan dari boss saya sempat mengecek keberadaan boss saya di kantor. Alhasil, keluarga boss saya pun luput dari kejahatan yang dilakukan dengan teknik rekayasa sosial.

What made DMC3 such a great game in the first place was its flashy presentation and its fantastic combat. As the brash demon hunter Dante, you can literally kick all kinds of otherworldly ass top to bottom, courtesy of your various over-the-top firearms and melee weapons. Split-second timing is necessary to avoid your enemies' ferocious counterattacks, and learning to dodge properly and to not get blindsided by an occasionally awkward camera angle definitely takes time. But eventually, everything feels just right, and suddenly you're making mincemeat out of tons of foes--pulling off spectacular combos involving multiple weapons, thrashing foes up into the air, high in the sky, and down to the ground, and then finishing them off while they're lying helpless at your feet. It gets all the more intense when you're battling the game's numerous boss opponents, which are arguably the highlight of the experience. Occasional puzzle-solving and backtracking offer a brief respite from the carnage, but otherwise they aren't particularly exciting aspects of play.

Terlalu Banyak Mengeluh

Manusia hanya bisa berencana dan berusaha, sementara Tuhan yang menentukan. Apa yang kita anggap sebagai jalan yang terbaik bagi kita, belum tentu juga yang terbaik menurut Allah. Sebagai seorang hamba, rasanya saya merasa justru lebih banyak mengeluh daripada mensyukuri segala nikmat-Nya.

Rasa tidak puas yang berlebihan atas keadaan diri tidak diimbangi oleh rasa syukur atas curahan Rahmat-Nya yang terus mengalir tiada henti.

Berbagai kejadian yang saya alami selama 2 pekan terakhir ini membuat saya banyak merenung. Hal-hal yang tadinya saya kira baik menurut saya ternyata malah membuat saya semakin mundur selangkah demi selangkah. Ya Allah, Ampuni hamba-Mu ini yang telah mencoba mendahului takdir-Mu dengan rasa keyakinan yang terlalu berlebih.

Hamba telah mengkufuri segala nikmat yang Engkau berikan dengan segala keluhan.. keluhan dan keluhan.
Tapi Engkau tak sedikitpun memutus Rahmat-Mu yang Maha Luas.
