Mengubah Lokasi Configuration.php Pada Joomla 2.5

Sebagaimana kita ketahui file configuration.php merupakan jantung Joomla CMS, sejak versi 1.0 hingga 2.5 file tersebut sangat mudah diketahui oleh siapa saja dengan mudah, memang file php tersebut sudah menggunakan baris kode untuk menolak akses langsung ke file tersebut, akan tetapi hal tersebut masih belum cukup. Langkah terbaik adalah kita memindahkan file configuration.php tersebut ke lokasi lain yang tidak dapat diakses oleh siapapun.

Mulai dari Joomla versi 1.6 kita sudah dapat merubah lokasi file configuration.php ke lokasi lain yang kita inginkan, berikut langkahnya. (Sebagai catatan, saya menggunakan Joomla 2.5.6 dan Hosting Live)

a. Saya memindahkan file configuration.php ke susunan directory paling atas pada hosting yang saya gunakan. Untuk mempermudah anda memahaminya, biasanya jika website joomla berada pada folder public_html maka file configuration.php juga akan berada pada folder tersebut.

Saya mengeluarkan file configuration.php dari folder public_html ke folder / pada hosting server tempat saya menyimpan website joomla saya.

b. Copy file defines.php dari folder  public_html/includes/defines.php ke folder root public_html

c. Copy file defines.php dari folder public_html/administrator/includes/defines.php ke folderpublic_html/administrator/

d. Rubah ke-2 file defines.php tersebut dengan menyisipkan kode berikut :

define('_JDEFINES', 1);
define('JPATH_BASE', dirname(__FILE__));

di bawah baris kode berikut : defined('_JEXEC') or die;

e. Kemudian rubah kode berikut pada ke-2 file defines.php

//define('JPATH_CONFIGURATION', JPATH_ROOT);

Ini adalah baris kode sebelumnya

define('JPATH_CONFIGURATION',   JPATH_ROOT .DS.'..'); // 

ini adalah baris kode baru yang menandakan alamat baru file configuration.php

Mengatasi Permasalahan Blue Screen Saat Instal Ulang XP di Notebook HP 431

Iseng mau downgrade OS dari 7 ke XP, ehh.. si lapie malah BSOD :o
Apa yang salah yak?? lapie masih fresshh.. belom satu bulan keluar dari toko :)). Kemungkinan kena virus pun keknya enggak deh, soalnya dah lama ndak maenan ama yang namanya virus :)

Percobaan kedua pun hasilnya tetap sama saja, alias tetep blue screen.. yo wiss lah akhirnya bergoogling ria buat cari petunjuk.. Beberapa menit kemudian, saya pun mendapatkan referensi yang bisa membantu dalam mengatasi permasalahan instal ulang OS XP di notebook HP 431. Ternyata di settingan BIOS pada lapie jenis ini ndak ada fitur settingan SATA Mode-nya.

Cara mengatasinya dengan mendownload driver SATA yang kemudian digabungkan dengan instalan Windowsnya dengan menggunakan tool Nlite.

Peralatan Perang:
1. Tool Nlite yang bisa didonwload di sini.

2. Kemudian download juga driver SATA-nya di sini

3. File Instalan XP pada komputer

4. CD Blank (inget yak.. cd blank.. jangan cd tetangga yang dipakek) :))


Cara Penggunaan:

1. Jalankan tool nlite yang sudah terinstal di komputer Anda.

2. Tentukan drive/folder dimana kita menyimpan master installer XP-nya.

3. Klik Driver dan Bootable ISO, lalu pilih NEXT.

4. Klik All, lalu tekan OK.

5. Pilih Text Mode Driver, kemudian tekan CTRL + A untuk menandai semua pilihan.

6. Klik Yes, lalu NEXT.

7. Pilih mode Direct Burn, sambil menyiapkan CD BLANK.

Setelah semua proses selesai,, coba instal ulang kembali lapie HP 431 Anda dengan cd XP yang sudah terintergrasi driver SATA. :)

A Few Basic Security Rules for Joomla Website

If a person follows these few simple rules the majority of site hacks will not happen.

1.) Use a decent hosting provider. Cheap is not necessarily bad, and expensive is not necessarily good. Do your research. Take a few minutes to search for and read comments and reviews left by other users.

2.) If you don't need it for your sites functionality then don't install it. If you do need it for your sites functionality, take a few minutes to search for and read comments and reviews left by other users of that software to make sure you’re not getting more than you bargained for by installing the software.

3.) If you installed it then keep it updated. The hackers are constantly looking for outdated, security compromised software to exploit. Save yourself a lot of work, and don't become a statistic, update!!

4.) If you no longer need it for your sites functionality, then remove it. This includes any files that may be left behind after uninstalling extensions. It is easy to forget about things no longer in use. Remove those things before a hacker finds them for you! You can always reinstall it if needed later.

5.) Back it up and test those backups to make sure they work properly before you need them, not when you need to depend on one.

6.) Avoid updating software on your laptop or other mobile device while you are using a wired or wireless network that is untrusted and public. This means those free (and paid) Wi-Fi networks like those that are available in hotels, and coffee shops, public libraries and so on. Also avoid updating software using a tethered connection through your smart phone. Many laptops, phones and other mobile devices will automatically switch over to available Wi-Fi networks if the 3G/4G signal dies. Malicious software could be downloaded while using such untrusted networks and connections and infect your laptop or mobile device (tablet) and thus infecting your website(s) or stealing passwords used for website access.

Yes, there are many things one can add, but they pretty much all fit into these few rules.

If your not willing to follow these few rules, then hire someone who will follow these rules. Everyone will be happier in the long run.
